Our hire rates are here.
Please ask if you're unsure of anything.

Primarily, it is best if hirers can transport the kayak(s) themselves, so as to keep their own hire costs down, and to free us up to deal with different customers arriving at different times. Also, due to the continuing rising cost of fuel, we have had to introduce some nominal delivery and collection charges. If you'd like to start at one place and finish at another, then we will discuss the added cost of collecting you at the time of your enquiry.

If you have roof rails on your car, then you can hire roof bars which fit most types of roof rails, and go across the car to support the kayak(s).

If you have a four door car, then you can hire a 'soft roof rack' which has two sets of pads to go on the roof, one front and one rear, fastened to the car by a strap which is passed through the car and fastened, and then straps to fasten the kayak(s) to the pads.

Below are the delivery and collection charges for some of our most popular places to paddle if people cannot transport the kayak(s) themselves, and need us to take and collect them.

Important notes
Payment in advance by cash. Cheques will not be accepted on the day of hire, as kayaks and equipment will only be released upon receipt of cleared funds.
The kayaks that we have are very sturdy, and very stable. However, we will need to take credit card details to act as a deposit, and in the unlikely event that a kayak should be severely damaged, the deposit will be charged to the value of replacing the kayak. Equally, should a kayak not be returned, then the customer's card will be charged the to value of a new kayak, plus the value of any buoyancy aids, paddles and soft roof racks, (if the soft roof racks have been hired also). Once the kayak has left our property, then it becomes the sole responsibility of the hiring person, and to that end, we find that customers take very good care of our equipment, as it is for the good of all that it is returned in good condition, as it left us. The other side of that is of course, that when you leave with the kayak, you are free to go wherever you choose until the end of the hire period, and enjoy the many benefits that can only really be had by getting involved in this sport, and cannot be got by other means, particularly the tranquility of the water, the wildlife, and the fantastic Somerset scenery, and beyond if hiring for a longer period.
