This photo was taken on a beautiful September day in 2009, when seven of us went from Langport on The River Parret for about four miles, stopping for a picnic lunch along the way, and arriving at Thorney Millpond which looked glorious in the fantastic weather, then turned round and came back. We had great fun, and when we were by Middleney pumping station, the girls picked a whole bag of conkers to share with their friends at school.
Also taken on the same day as the previous photo, here are, from the right, Becky, Katie and Amy posing for the camera, and really enjoying themselves, having got the hang of paddling together on a double/triple Robson kayak.
After happening along by Middleney pumping station, we took a smaller watercourse to one side, away from The River Parrett, 'just to see where it goes', and arriving via the small stream to the left of this photo, found ourselves in the ideallic Millpond at Thorney Near Langport. The old mill house is still in it's original shape, and looks fantastic, though it's no longer a working mill, it was a great image of a bygone era, and you could only imagine how different things were back then.

There is only one place in the world to get this photo of Glastonbury Tor reflected, and you have to be on the water.
