Founded in 2009, after finding that lots of people wanted to enjoy the pleasure that can be derived from kayaking,
we've built a growing base of customers, both young and old who also enjoy paddling as much as we do.

We're based in Street, Somerset, just 20 minutes from Junction 23
of the M5, and just off the A39, so we're very easy to find.  Enter
BA16 0AJ into your SatNav to find us, or simply ask for directions!
We've heard recently that there are some people still using a map...

In Central Somerset, we have an abundance of rivers that can be paddled almost all year round, as
they are largely slow moving, and with the added safety of our very stable sit-on, and sit inside kayaks, even the most
inexperienced paddler can get to grips with this wonderful pastime.

We also have the Bristol Channel within 20 miles, and the English Channel within 45 miles, so we really
are spoilt for choice. Take your pick of whichever might take your fancy at the time of booking.

When you have made your booking and collected your hired kayak, the choice really is yours. A day's
hire will give you ample time for a trip to the South coast to enjoy a good number of hours of exhilerating
fun in the sea, and equally, if you stay local, you'll be able to take things a little more leisurely. Maybe
take a picnic? It certainly makes for a great day out!
Our hire rates are here.

Important notes
The sit-on kayaks that we have are very sturdy, and very stable. However, we will need to take credit card details to act as a deposit, and in the unlikely event that a kayak should be severely damaged, the deposit will be charged to the value of replacing the kayak. Equally, should a kayak not be returned, then the customer's card will be charged the to value of a new
kayak, plus the value of any buoyancy aids, paddles and soft roof racks, (if the soft roof racks have been hired also). Once the kayak has left our property, then it becomes the
sole responsibility of the hiring person, and to that end, we find that customers take very
good care of our equipment, as it is for the good of all that it is returned in good condition,
as it left us. The other side of that is of course, that when you leave with the kayak, you are
free to go wherever you choose until the end of the hire period, and enjoy the many benefits that can only really be had by getting involved in this sport, and cannot be got by other means, particularly the tranquility of the water, the wildlife, and the fantastic Somerset scenery.

Customer safety.
> We take safety very seriously. We do however
ask all of our customers to take personal
responsibility for themselves, as we cannot
possibly be with every customer all of the time.
We are very happy to advise the inexperienced.
> Every kayak will come with a buoyancy aid for
the hiring person, or user in the event of a parent
hiring for a child, but customers are politely
reminded that these are buoyancy aids, and
NOT life jackets.
> First time paddlers can use the 'nursery river',
which is not much more than a gently running
stream, right beside our premises to get used to
the feel of the kayak, before taking it off to
somewhere for some more serious paddling,
be it river or sea.
Important Points for customers
will be given to the hiring person upon start of hire,
with one being held by us until the end of the hire
period, and return in good condition of all
equipment.
> People sometimes ask why a) we need credit or
debit card details, and b) what will happen to them
afterwards. A) We take card details in the event of
equipment being returned damaged or not being
returned at all, in either case, the card will be
charged for replacement equipment at the
cheapest available new price. B) We destroy all
card details after the equipment has been returned
in a satisfactory condition. It's as simple as that.
